Peterborough’s Musicfest is reaching new levels this week hosting Canadian Country Music star Jess Muskaluke on Wednesday; followed by Acrobat, a U2 Tribute band on Saturday, all at Del Crary Park.

The Irish Emigration Commemoration Kicks off August 1st, Celebrating 200 years in Peterborough. Expect a whole week of events planned out from the 1st-10th including guided tours, Gaelic football, gatherings, museums, and much more. ☎Local Call Center Leaves Peterborough
Lufthansa will close it’s Peterborough call center by May 2026, cutting 300 jobs due to automation and declining call volumes. Support will be offered to affected staff. This follows Siemens' recent cut of 160 local jobs.
🍸Cosmic Charlies Closes Down Shop
Cosmic Charlie’s on Charlotte Street will close July 31 after nearly 30 years in Downtown Peterborough. Owners Maria and Mario Salalila, known for their homemade international dishes and warm hospitality, are retiring. Mario’s unique recipes and passion for authentic cuisine made the spot a local favourite. The couple says they’ll deeply miss the community that supported them for decades.
