🎸 Kim Mitchell Closes Out Musicfest
Canadian rock legend Kim Mitchell is back in Peterborough to shut down the 2025 Musicfest season at Del Crary Park. From his Max Webster days to solo hits like Go For A Soda and Patio Lanterns, he’s got the kind of songs that turn a summer night into a singalong. This is his fifth time hitting the Musicfest stage and if the past shows are anything to go by, the park’s gonna be packed and rocking. Best part? It’s free — just bring a lawn chair, grab a spot and soak up one last summer night of live music.
🐾 Zoo Starts To ROAR
Peterborough’s playground scene is about to get a big glow up thanks to the Rotary Club and Riverview Park & Zoo. They’ve kicked off Project ROAR, a $1.5 million push to build an all abilities playground with wide stroller and wheelchair friendly paths, smooth surfaces, shady hangouts and plenty of space for everyone to join the fun. Rotary’s even matching donations up to $125k this year so every dollar roars a little louder. It’s the zoo’s biggest playtime upgrade since the surprise two alligators showed up in 1933, and now’s your chance to help make it happen.
